S2: Episode 6| 32 Episodes - What I Know for Sure

"I have come to believe that if you can’t do great things, you can do small things in a great way."

After 32 episodes of excavating the lost and buried stories of history’s most influential women—from the celestial discoveries of Caroline Herschel to the "New Tools of Resistance" forged by Audre Lorde—we have reached the final chapter of the HerStance podcast.

In this closing episode, I’m stepping away from the research desk to share a more personal reflection. As I look back on this journey, which began in my 60s as a "labor of love," I’ve realized that the most important stance we can take is often an internal one.

In this episode, we explore:

  • The Power of the Pivot: Why moving from a "global stage" to local, personal impact is not a retreat, but a refinement of purpose.

  • Taming the Sizzling Nervous System: Practical wisdom on finding inner peace and compassion in a world that often feels chaotic and overwhelming.

  • 32 Lessons Learned: A countdown of the "Key Truths" gathered from a year of storytelling, technology, and connection.

  • The Living Archive: A reminder that while the recording stops here, the stories of these women remain online as a permanent resource for anyone seeking inspiration.

Thank you for being part of this community. As we close this chapter, my hope is that you continue to fill your own cup, act with kindness in your immediate circles, and remember that it is never too late to start something new.

"Peace within, peace without."
